It just must be said... Immediately. Before I go to bed tonight. Tonight will go down in history as one of the most AMAZING nights of my life! I don't think we could've packed 3rd & Lindsley anymore than we did! So many people came out that I love and adore... peers here in the industry, so many of my friends (oh, how l love my gurls!), my family (Mom, Dad, and "the kids"), FANS...it was quite incredible. I just want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart (I know that sounds cliche, but I mean it!) for coming out to my show tonight. It meant the WORLD to me to have your support as we celebrated the release of my new CD! You guys were the most amazing audience I've had yet, hands down! And despite the fact that it was about 150 degrees in there and my hair went flat in the first 5 minutes, I still had a blast! I was having so much fun and just totally in the moment. It was such a great feeling to be up there, doing what I do and feelin the love from everybody all night! I'll definitely be posting pictures soon! But again, THANK YOU! Thank you for showing up, thank you for cheering your hearts out, thanks for the standing ovation, thanks for purchasing the CD, and for those of you that couldn't make it out tonight...thanks for the messages/comments/text messages, etc. wishing me luck. I appreciate it so much! Love yall! Special thanks: To my mangers, Kim and Susan-without you, this CD nor this party would have taken place! Thanks for allowing me to grow into the artist and writer I am today. Did we have one hell of a party or what???!!! Marcia Ramirez, Karleen Watt, Wood Newton, Karen Staley, Austin Cunningham, and Lisa Carver for opening the show and helping make this night SO spectacular! I enjoyed hearing all of you! To my band-Joe Spivey, Andrew Nelson, Brian Fullen, Lydia Salnikova, Luis Espaillat, Kim Copeland, Vickie Carrico, and Ronnie Kimball--THANK YOU! Yall rocked the house and I couldn't have asked for a better time tonight with you guys! To my glam squad: Andrew Pentacost, Chuck Williams, and Rachel Leach...uh, you know I'd DIE without your help tonight! haha GOODNIGHT! I shall sleep well tonight ;)

So I'm quite the happy gal these days. The CD is out, the website is launched, the new MySpace page is up...things have all gone occuringly, despite a few glitches on the site the first day it was up. I'm glad to have this CD FINALLY out for your listening pleasures! The feedback thus far from people in the industry has been, seriously, amazing! Some of my family members and friends got advance copies and they love it too! I'm very proud of this record. On here you're going to find everything. You'll find your contemporary country, you'll find some of the rockin'-attitude stuff that I've become known for, you'll hear a lot of pop/rock-ish country, and we also threw in a couple more straight-ahead country stuff that nobody's really used to hearing me do. It's all me. It's all a more than fair representation of who I am....what I've been writing, what I've been feeling over the last two years. I've grown SO much from the "First Day Of The Truth" album and even from "Some Things Make Her Cry". I'm writing a lot more. I'm more reckless. Personally, and musically. And because of it, I put no limits on my writing and my vocals for this project, and I'm less hesitant to be brutally honest through my songwriting and through the performance too. I was a part of this CD making process from day one, which is another reason why I'm so particularly proud. Everything from writing 12 of the 16 tracks to co-producing the album---being in the studio for the long hours everyday...tracking sessions, over-dubs, lead vocals, background vocals, mixing, and mastering. I also was working with the photographer and stylist, then picking out photos and helping to design the insert, the actual CD, the website...and of course, doing my MySpace page. All of this to say... YAY! It's done! It's ready for you and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do. On another note... Just had one of the most hilarious co-writing sessions with Derek George and Tim Owens yesterday. Seriously...I was exhausted from laughing the whole time. But we started a real good one! I'm excited for everyone to hear it when it's done! I'm going to Michigan this weekend for my younger sister's high school graduation party. Lots of family comin in from out of town that I haven't seen in FOREVER, so I'm pumped! It'll be pretty exciting too b/c my best friend from Atlanta will be up there as well as another buddy of mine, Chelsee Oaks (who is originally from Michigan but moved down here a couple years ago), has a show close to my hometown...so we're gonna go see her too! Woohoo! And don't you forget my... CD RELEASE PARTY! WEDNESDAY, JULY 18TH 3RD & LINDSLEY, NASHVILLE 6PM-9PM FULL BAND SHOW *tons of special guests/performances!* Mark your calendars!!!!

Okay, well, let me just start this out by saying THANK YOU! I know that many of you are visiting my MySpace page and/or my website after meeting me at this year's CMA Music Festival and I couldn't be more thrilled about it! I had the most INCREDIBLE experience this year and I was sad to see it end. But you can count on seeing me again next year, and this time, I promise to have more shows booked!! This was my first Fan Fair, ever. I had no idea what to expect but me and my managers couldn't have been more pleased. I met so many people, signed SO many autographs, took a bazillion pictures with people, sold new merchandise (including advance copies of the new CD!!), and got to actually TALK to all of you that visited me. I met people from all across America (even fellow Michiganders!), as well as fans from Italy, France, Germany, Australia, and Canada! I signed anything from pictures and flyers, to cowboy hats and guitars, to alarm clocks and foot tubs! It was amazing! It was important to me to try'n be at my booth pretty much all day, all four days. A lot of people couldn't believe that I was sitting there so long b/c apparently most artists only appear one day, or if they come every day, it's only for a couple of hours each day. But as an independent artist without a hit out on the radio (yet!), I wanted to be sure that I met as many people as humanly possible! So sure, by the end of my days my hand was cramped and my cheeks were sore from smiling, but it was WELL WORTH IT! I met such a diverse crowd, from all ages and backgrounds, and it was so inspiring! Being in Nashville 24/7 and not being out on the road much in the past year has been tough for me. I mean, playing in town is GREAT but Fan Fair reminded me of why I love to get on the road, meeting people from other places, exposing my music and making new fans! This was such a great opportunity for me and I'm forever thankful for it! Well, we made sure to take A LOT of pictures of the whole experience, so make sure to check back to the website on JUNE 26TH to see ALL the bazillion pictures that we post on my Photos page! Also, on the 26th you'll be able to purchase my 2nd CD, "Lonely At The Bottom", as well as enjoy updated pages, new layout, new photos/banners/icons, etc at www.RachelWilliamsOnline.com And now that the fun is over, I'm getting back to reality. I've actually been quite sick with allergies for the last few days, but I believe I'm on the upswing! Now, if I could only catch up on my sleep and work-outs...haha. Well, enjoy the slideshow and have a great weekend!!! Nothin but love, Rachel P.S. We have officially booked my CD release party for Wednesday, July 18th at 3rd & Lindsley here in Nashville, so…MARK YOUR CALENDARS!!!! More details coming later this month

Tomorrow, June 1st, my show at the legendary Bluebird Cafe will be broadcasted LIVE via webcast. Yup, that's right...all of you out of town Rachel Williams fans can tune into the show from the comfort of your own couch! From what I hear, it's pretty simple...and, uh, hello? You don't even have to leave your house! Haha! It's going to be one hell of a show, I'm so excited! So be sure to tune in and hear me in the round with hit songwriters, Karen Staley (Faith Hill, Reba McEntire, etc.), Jimmy Fortune (formerly of the Statler Brothers), and John Adam Murph TOMORROW--Friday, June 1st at 9:30PM CENTRAL! Some things to let you know: 1) There will be a cover charge, just as if you were paying at the door of the Bluebird Cafe. (You get the same show, only, YOU have the option of watching in you in PJ's..hehe) 2) There software to download before viewing the show, so be sure to start that process BEFORE 9:30PM Central, when the show begins. For more information on how to watch my show LIVE tomorrow night and to start the downloading process, visit http://www.bluebirdcafesl.com On another note... Just want to thank you all so much for all the great comments that you've left me about my new song, "Lonely At The Bottom"! Your response to the new pics and the song have been great and it just makes me even MORE excited to release this CD! All 16 songs made the cut for this CD--me being a writer on 12 of them, and I'm just extremely proud and happy to finally get a new project out there for all of you! MySpace has opened so many doors and exposed my music to so many new fans across the world, so I appreciate it to no end that you guys seem just as anxious and pumped for my new release as I am! I open my inbox everyday and read all the messages you guys leave me, so please, keep sending them! I know that I'm slow to respond, but I promise you that I do indeed read EVERY, SINGLE EMAIL! Now that the CD's done, we are just crankin like hell to make sure everything's done for this year's CMA Music Festival! I've never been before, therefore, I have NO IDEA what to expect! We are just trying to get it together for my booth---decorating, getting together all the new merch (photos, CD, posters). I'll be at my booth for most of the day, EVERYDAY of the festival, so be sure to come by and visit me! I can't wait! I'll be performing as part of the "Acoustic Corner" series in the Convention Center Thursday, June 7th at 2PM. So be sure to check that out as well! And like we've announced before, we WILL be selling advance copies of "Lonely At The Bottom" from my booth at this year's CMA Music Festival. So if you can't wait until the official release date June 26th, then come and visit me at my booth! We are planning a big, full band show for a CD RELEASE PARTY in July! Yay!!! You have NO IDEA how stoked I am about that! I want to invite a bunch of performers to come out and share the stage with me and back it a big, all night event! I'll keep you posted when we confirm a date! Okay well, now that I've talked your ear off... I'm running late! Haha. Figures. Love you guys! Hope you're keeping cool and healthy in this heat wave/allergy hell of a season! --Rach

update-ness I'm still crazy busy. Which is good, b/c I'd certainly rather be busy than sittin around doin nothing, right? Not too much has changed from the last blog. I still find myself stressin over people, money, work, you know...life sometimes. But it's okay. I'm beginning to understand that it's all in the way we deal with things, and I refuse to let it steer me away from what matters the most...my music. My music is my sanity, so as long as I'm still progressing forward on that front... I'm okay. ;) So... the album. We are trying to rush like hell to get it done by Fan Fair. We want to sell it from my booth this year, b/c obviously...that's going to be a great outlet to get the word out on the new album, etc. Can't wait! BUT...that means slam sessions in the studio just about every other day. Add that to the already existing co-writing appointments and demo singing that I already have, and no wonder I'm ready for bed by 5pm. Luckily, we already had the songs. It's just a matter of doing master sessions on them, getting new vocals, bckgrounds, etc. Piece of cake, right? Haha. Not. As of right now...my album has 16 songs. That's right. Count them...sixteen. Now, I don't know if all 16 will actually make it onto the final record, but I'm hoping. I'm a writer on 12 of the 16, so that's pretty exciting! Hence the reason that I want as many songs on the project as I can get! Hehe. No word on when the OFFICIAL release date is yet, but I'm guessing June or July by the LATEST. I've been wanting to post new music up but the stuff that I have are rough mixes and/or demo versions that we did prior to doing "record versions"...and I guess I just want yall to hear the best finished product. However, I've been debating b/c I get SO excited everytime we record something new and I want to share it with everybody!! But I guess I'll try my best to practice patience for now...what a concept. Rachel and patience...those two words don't normally go well together ;) Anywho.. doing a photo shoot Tuesday. I'm really excited. It's been sooooo long since our last shoot... I believe my hair was red or something..? Ha. I'm really enthused about the photographer and my wardrobe is STELLAR! This shoot is going to be edgy...awesome... just something that you've never seen from me. I'm in such a different place right now...physically, personally, musically and I'm ready for my image/music to start reflecting that. Needless to say, I'm ecstatic! Of course, being the 21 year old female that I am... I feel like I'm not ready for next week...like I could be skinnier/tanner, whatever... Oh well, it is what it is, right? Besides, I'm a female and we are definitely ALWAYS are own harshest critic! People that haven't purchased their Fan Fair tickets for June 7th-10th yet can still buy them online at www.cmamusicfest.com. It's getting to be crunch time and I can't wait! I'm countin the days...!!! I'll be posting new shows soon...new photos...maybe some new music...? Love yall. Enjoy the sun
