Search
Dog Foundation
The mission of the Search Dog Foundation is to produce the most highly trained
canine disaster search teams in the nation. The job of these teams is to find
people buried alive in the wreckage of natural disasters and terrorist attacks.
To create these teams, SDF recruits rescued dogs from shelters and breed rescue
groups, gives them professional training, and partners them with firefighters
and other first responders at no cost to their departments. We ensure lifetime
care for every dog in our program: once rescued, these dogs will never need
to be rescued again. SDF receives no government funding, and relies on our supporters
throughout the country to provide these services.

Safe
Harbor
Safe Harbor Prison
Dog Program started with the thought in mind about how many dogs could be saved
with access to the resources a prison could provide. All of the dogs
were out of time at various animal shelters throughout the State of Kansas and
the MidWest. Safe Harbor has more than 90 inmates in the dog program and the
effect on these inmates is very profound. These inmates have something positive
that they can be proud of. The dogs are the highlight of prison tours and visit
inmates in the hospice center. These prison dogs and their stories reach out
and grab the public. Potential adopters love being a part of what they have
come to call a ‘noble cause.’

Great Wall Charity
Missions
It has been of dream of Snow Wu's to create a Charity Mission
sector of Great Wall China Adoption, dedicated solely to providing better conditions
for the children yet to be adopted. Snow has accomplished her dream by launching
three programs within Great Wall Charity Missions: Libraries of Love, Angel
Stitches, and Gifts of Love. Libraries of Love builds libraries in Chinese orphanages
and fills them with books, computers, and other educational tools. Angel Stitches
pays for children to receive needed surgeries that might otherwise go uncorrected
due to the orphanages having limited resources. Gifts of Love provides a way
for parents to donate gifts to the Chinese orphanages that cared for their children;
gifts that improve the orphanages and enhance the lives of the children left
behind.
